EDITORIAL CONCEPTS —
(The Art of Creation)

Concept photography is a special place in the areana of creating images that allows all involved an opportunity for a unique angle in the collaboration.

For me, approaching editorials and concepts always begins the same way — with an initial idea. Then, like clockwork, the idea adapts and transforms in a deeper concept as the individual pieces fall into place.

From costume, make up, location, lighting and mood, the elements help tell the story of the concept trying to be perceived. Sometimes, the idea follows the shot.

But no matter the sequence, one thing remains certain — the desire to capture that mood and effect that sets the print apart.

Concepts allow both the subjects and the artist, equal freedom to explore and collaborate. I'm always eager for another unique opportunity to share in a unique view.
